Eight Semi-Finalists named in the 14th Primrose International Viola Competition

LOS ANGELES - On Tuesday night eight Semi-Finalists were named in the 14th Primrose International Viola Competition. They are:

Primrose semifinalists
Left to right: Kyuri Kim, Zhanbo Zheng, Manuel Vioque-Judde, Cong Wu, Born Lau, Matt Cohen and Kei Tojo (Yifei Deng was not present)

Matt Cohen of the United States
Yifei Deng of China
Kyuri Kim of South Korea
Born Lau of Hong Kong
Kei Tojo of Japan
Manuel Vioque-Judde of France
Cong Wu of China
Zhanbo Zheng of China

Semi-finals begin Wednesday at 2 p.m. PST and will be liveeamed on the Primrose International Viola Competition Web page

Here, also, is a picture of 21 of the 27 quarterfinalists from eight countries who played over the last two days. They were chosen from 100 entrants. Congratulations to all!
