Shortly before the end of the year, I'd like to bring your attention to a concept that I find very promising. Musicians of the Hofer Symphoniker, i.e. professional orchestra musicians, are teaching young people at the Hof Symphony Music School.
On top of competent instruction, the students get first-hand information on what it is like to be a professional orchestra musician, giving them the chance to make an informed career choice.
Wishing all of you a happy, healthy and harmonic A.D. 2009 :-)
