Peter E. Lange-Müller + Moritz Moszkowski vc's

March 7, 2013 at 4:02 PM

From the unknown Danish composer Peter Erasmus Lange-Müller (1850-1926) I only had the conductorsheetmusic of 185 pages. So I copied and pasted the soloviolin from that on half A-4's to get the solopart. He wrote a lot ""ossia"" which means 2 possibilities how to play the solopart.
Violin Conerto opus 69 in C minor (1904)
Movement 1 : Moderato
Movement 2 : Allegretto Sostenuto
Movement 3 : Allegro giocoso

The composer Moritz Moszkowski (1854-1925)
also wrote a
Violin concerto in C majeur, op. 30 (dedicated to Emile Sauret)
Movement 1 : Allegro comodo
Movement 2 : Andante
Movement 3 : Vivace

thanks Bram as always getting us acquainted with less-known violin literature. found the Danish concerto a bit bland but the Moszowski is very nice!
