Eugene Ysaye 150 th birthday on 16- july 2008

I made a compilation video on Youtube of Ysaye of pieces I like much. Sometimes his impressionistic romantic music with different atmospheres moves you and remind you of the rainy Ardennes of Belgium. His orchestrated pieces like Poeme Elegiaque makes more impression with orchestra than with piano..

Fragments op Sonate opus 27 nr1, nr5, nr1 2th part, Poeme Elegiaque opus 12, Chants d'hivers opus 15, violinconcerto no.8 3th part, Divertimento opus 24

Very much enjoyed this. Thanks, Bram!

And I love your comment here about "his impressionistic romantic music". THAT gives me a name to this type of music I'm enjoying so much lately, the Debussy, Saint Saens, Fauré sound. It's more impressionistic than the traditional Romantic sound. I can't get enough of it lately.

Nice way to spend a few minutes while sipping my morning tea - thanks!
