
Carla Leurs wins int. music. comp. Jean Francaix

I just got for the midday-break an email from Carla Leurs,
(who writes too less on this website), because she has won the International Music Competition Jean Francaix in Paris, France, from 57 competitionmembers. She will give concerts in Belgium and France and will record a cd for the label ANIMA.

upcoming concerts:
13 Mai: Xanten, Germany - Recital with Jens Kruger; works by Mozart, Dvorak, De Sarasate
14 Mai: Enschede, Netherlands - Chamber music with Fleur Bouwer (clarinet) and Martijn Willers (piano); works by Milhaud, Berg, Godron
20 Mai: Scheveningen , Netherlands - Recital with Anthony Romaniuk; works by Schumann a.o.
27 Mai: Strassbourg, France - Violin Concerto by Sibelius at FIMA Festival
28 Mai: Strassbourg, France - Violin Concerto by Sibelius at FIMA Festival
Congratulations to her!!
maybe I'll drop by Strassbourg to listen to her Sibelius. I've never been there yet and it's just 2 hours from here by caa.

Such wonderful news! A big congratulations, Carla!
Giraud looks like somebody who wants to put a whoopie cushion in your chair. I don't know if that's Presidential material.
