Artiom Shishkov is an amazing violinist and artist, I heard him 6 years ago in hannover Joachim Competition, wich will be again this year also, I could not believe he didn't make it in final round... wrong jury maybe pushing their own students. I wish him best luck!
Petteri IIvonen is also amazing, he made second place in Sibelius competition. He played flawless, but to me not that appealing, still he deserves a first price sometimes!
Emma Steele played very good in the first and second round of Sibelius competition but failed in the finales. Maybe she didn't expect to get that far. I liked her playing. Great technique and bright sharp sound. She played a Vuillaume as far as I remember. i wish her best luck too. Aswell as any other participant I don't know. They are really going through something :D
