Staccato bowing
June 12, 2012 01:07I want to increase my staccato bowing in up and down bow.
My staccato is currently about 120 to 132 to a quarter note .
Any advice in a way to increase it . What I do now is exert pressure and release in a slow tempo and then I gradually increase the speed . It seems I never get a staccato as fast as I hear some of the virtuosos such as a Salvator Accardo or a Tibor Varga .
I wish I knew how they do it .
