Allow ME to WEEP

July 20, 2013 at 12:10 AM

Have you wanted to cry? We all have wanted to cry at some point in our lives if it is for something serious or something minimal.... it starts the same way. We have a feeling in our chest and we need to get it out. AND it is good to get those negative emotions out of our energy field. When it starts - it may start small, but if we continue to think the thoughts it grows and grows and grows to the point we can not hold the dam of the water any longer and it bursts forth. OR maybe it stays within us.......No matter, the initial feeling is the same. Ironically enough, after my personal tearful moments this past week, I continued to work and knew I promised to make a video for a fan Jo Odowd and his daughter Luci. They asked if I could make a teaching video for them on Handel's ALLOW me to WEEP. In this video, not only do I discuss the piece but I discuss how one can visualize and feel the emotions and be able to manifest this through violin playing not only for the performer's benefit but for the listener as well. Enjoy. and when the urge happens to cry - let it go.... Those negative emotions need to be released and one day the sunlit path will appear.....

Thank you very much, Heather.
I don't recall seeing a measure-by-measure tutorial
that is so clear and detailed.
And thank you for your refreshing candor.
I have printed the music and will, I am sure, enjoy
applying your pointers to Handel's beautiful composition.
Best wishes on your new course!
