That bloody phase...

March 20, 2013 at 5:56 PM

When sometimes, you lose your inspiration on practicing on the violin, because something is trully bothering you, and feel like regretting for getting it...

At school we have a piano. Till last year my piano skills were non existent, but as I had the umph to learn, I soon enough started playing beautiful pieces, and was playing in every school break. It was also the best I could do in all kinds of art I'm decent at.

At summer I got my first violin. I was so happy because it's one of the most beautiful instruments, and also it's compact, letting you carry it wherever you want. At the beginning, I was like "I'm going to practice every single day to achieve my dream" but that was until some months ago, when they decided to lock the room where the piano was, only & only because some students where acting idiotic in there. From then on, I was feeling like my life was over and that the violin is not enough (I don't have a piano at home), and the fact I'm still uncomfortable when playing violin makes it worse. Heck, my mum said to me that if I don't want anymore lessons, I should stop them and return the violin I have now to my teacher, since we were still paying for it. She got me thinking for a while... But there was a spark that told me to not stop and fight my way instead...

Pretty sure it's just a phase, but only time will tell...
