vibrato!

March 3, 2009 02:47

Wait.....what was that?  Was it.......it was, it was!  It was vibrato!!

I'm sure all of you remember the first time you did vibrato - the first sweet note after weeks of seemingly fruitless effort.  The joy and excitement, the confirmation of the hours you have spent trying to attain this one simple thing.  The encouragement to continue, and frustration when you can't repeat it right away (as in my case).  But it was there.  That one shining ray of hope that makes it all worth it.....and motivates me to keep going.  Well, back to practicing!
