I AM A BUSY ADULT. DO I HAVE THE TIME TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE VIOLIN?

“Who are you?”. I’m biting my juicy apple and looking at you, with my mind’s eyes. I am not talking about the YOU everybody knows. Your name, your profession, your accomplishments, the color of the eyes. Bla LA LA. I am talking about the REAL YOU. The one that only YOU know about. Your wildest dreams and your hopes. YOU! Not the one that wonders if they have the time. Because this is not you. That person is a combination of all the people who tell you that you are not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, talented enough. All the people that want you to fulfill their dreams. Parents, bosses, husbands, wives, friends, kids, pets, you name it! And then, you see... You need time. You need lots of TIME to figure out how to do or improve all this. When you are YOU truly, you don’t need time. Time is created magickly and it is poured into your life. You suddenly find TIME everywhere. You find time listening to the rain, you find time in the food you eat, you find time in taking a walk, you find time in looking in the mirror and admiring yourself, you find time in getting a new and more fulfilling job, you find time to end a toxic relationship, you find time to look into the eyes of the person you love, you find so much time everywhere in your life, that you wonder what to do next. Life becomes an adventure, a miracle, and a joy.

And of course, if the REAL you loves the sound of the violin and you always wanted to learn, you will find time to do that. And you will have so much time to experiment… And, after a month of playing... you will still suck. Oh… yeah! And you will be happy with every scratchy sound, with every scream from your neighbor’s apartment or house, with every bird that faints when it hears you playing, with every cracked wall in your room, with every broken string. And you will smile. And you will laugh. And you will say… I HAVE TIME! I FIND TIME! I CREATE TIME! For ME! And for the ones that COUNT in my life. And for my DREAMS! And you will break free from the trap of time.

Now, please take a look in the mirror. A deep look, not a superficial look. See yourself. Not your mom, not your boyfriend, not your boss. Just YOU. Ask: "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is going to rent a violin and find a teacher or an online program and start playing?"

"YOU ARE!" Answers the mirror. "Who, ME?"

So, once again… … … Who are you? … … …
