So, it's been almost 2 months since my last post. I was playing regularly during this period of time, though, with a few days off - I'm taking a post-graduation course financed by the company I work on and I am having a lot of tests on it... And, sometimes, I need to study to some of these tests and don't feel right doing other things when I think I should be studying.
Anyway, I think I mentioned before that I had to move to another city because of my new job. A few days ago I received some pictures of a friend's birthday party, which I couldn't attend since I wasn't in my home town. Guess who was at the party? Ray Chen, the winner of Queen Elizabeth Competition! It seems that he was touring here in Brazil, met my friend (she is a journalist) and was invited to her party. What are the odds? Those things never happen when I'm around, haha.
On a completely unrelated matter, I love my new violin! We're getting along pretty well. As it's Czech I considered naming it "Dvorak", but, I don't know, I haven't ever named a violin before and it's not that natural to me. But, yeah, if all my problems were things like that... :)
I'm almost finishing the Vivaldi A minor Concerto... My teacher said that we will end it this week and that I have to perform the whole concerto next class. Of course there are always things to improve, but I really think it's time to move on.
He said I'll be doing the Nardini E minor next.
Let's see what happens next!
