I seem to be facing a bit of a demlema with my fiddle.
I feel like my instrument is sounding dull after just putting on new strings just a couple weeks ago. I play a good amount but not enough for them to go dead after two weeks.
The main point of my blog post is my normal luthier is in the hospital due to a surgery. I am considering giving a new luthier a try and would not mind a trip outside of Texas.
Maybe Massachuestts, New York or LA? I'm doing my research on luthiers to see.
My concern is that the climate and temperature will vary place to place. So your instrument might sound much different when you step off the plane when you get back home.
Do you travel outside of your city or state to go to your luthier for repairs or sound adjustments?
