An unusual purpose to join a competition!

February 8, 2012 15:00

I live in Iran and recently participated in an instrumental and vocal music performance competition held in the US called "starmusician". The main purpose of mine is to play my own music at "Saban" hall in LA. This opportunity is provided by producers of the competition as one of the prizes that goes to one instrumental and one vocal winner. Since the rules of comptition required Persian music, I played a Persian tune with Viola. Life is unbelievably painful for an artist living in Iran. Particularly, threats and pressures on a musician is so sorrwful and disappointing that there's no oxygen of freedom here to breath which is vital for a musician. I just want to use the chance and scape from this gloomy atmosphere and be heared by the world. My video is available in www.starmusician.com (the only one who plays Viola). Your comments will be helpful and encouraging. I'll be waiting.
