Joan Didion a noted writer and intellectual and essentially an Obama supporter notes her unease.

"Cautious optimism," cited elsewhere in the article and/or replies, would be my motto as well. Always a good thing to advocate (or cautious pessimism, depending on what side of the camp one rests). Thanks for posting the link, Corwin.
