The 3rd China International Violin Competition

China International Violin Competition (Qingdao) held every three years in Qingdao since 2005, is one of the three international music competitions organized by Ministry of Culture of PRC. The competition plays an important role in discovering talented young violinists and promoting international culture exchanging.
9 jurors from 7 countries and 11 jurors from 8 counties in 1st  and 2nd competition, such as Lin Yaoji(Chairman of Jury Panel) , David Cerone (USA), Gyorgy Pauk(UK) , Rainer Kussmaul(Germany). Lots of talented violinists found in the competitions perform all over the world, such as Hilde Simone Lamsma(The Netherland), Ning Feng(China), Andrey Alexandrovich Baranov(Russia),Chen Yi(China), Friederike Starkloff (Germany),etc.
The 3rd China International Violin Competition will be held in Qingdao, from 12th to 24th October 2011.14 jurors from 11 countries, the chairman of the jury panle is Maestro Hu Kun. The competition is open to violinists of all nationalities and the age between 16 to 36. It consists of 3 rounds, three prizes and special prizes. The first prize winner will win USD 50,000. The organizing committee will provide USD 250 to 500 travel allowance for the oversea competitors according to different countries. After the competition, except award concert, the prize winners will get chances to attend China Concert Tour and  other concerts arranged by the organizing committee. Audio and Video recording will be published for the excellent competitors after competition.
