Post human or animal hair for oil spill

May 9, 2010 11:04

Dear v.commies,

I know this isn't directly related with violin but I fell on this website:

http://www.matteroftrust.org/programs/hairmatsinfo.html

where you can donate hair. Any hair, the one that falls off your head, when you groom your pet, if you own a salon or barder shop, have a farm, old horse hair if you are a maker would surely be appreciate to etc as well as old nylon stockings so that they can make big bags of them to absorb oil from the oil spill. Hair is very absorbant and they can reuse it many times.

I tried this and wait an email from them to tell where to send it!  It's such an easy way to help a little!  Good luck to them!
