How to Bow Smoothly with Jellyfish Bowing | Violin Lounge TV #262
In this episode I teach you how to make fluent bow changes, how to bow smoothly and create a beautiful sound on the violin by a technique I call 'jellyfish bowing'.
A bow hold can better be called a 'bow movement', because to bow smoothly you need to move your wrist and fingers along with the straight movement of the bow.
The movement your hand makes looks a bit like a swimming jellyfish... therefore I call this technique 'jellyfish bowing'.
With jellyfish bowing you won't get in the way of the resonance of your bow and your violin. You can bow fluently and create gorgeous tone.
