Diddling with the violin... I recorded these things in my room, playing around because I couldn't sleep.

Compose! For you must!

Today I opened Finale 2009 and begin working on that violin concerto... This is probably a good thing that the phoenix is down for a while. I don't want the violin to limit the music, I want it to fit under the fingers, but I also want to try to think outside of the box... which may or may not happen since I'm almost sure anything I write will sound like it's written by a romantic era violinist... that's my favorite genre. I actually have two in the works one in D minor and one in F#minor the first one is actually inspired by Conus and Sibelius and the later is more Vieuxtemps and Ernst with a little bit of Lipinski. Maybe I'll go a whole different route and do one in D... it's an easy key, and I kind of already have a rondo movement in the forge.
