Hi there!
I recently recorded a lot during easter time. I made a violin cover from a song of a german rock band called Zen Zebra. I heard them twice live and was very impressed, bought the album and so on. Finally I wanted to try out how a cover on Violin would work. I began listening to the melodies and playing it on violin. There were some difficulties, that I didn't expected to be that hard. First of all the original song is in a-flat minor, so there are no open strings for me. But the much harder part was to get the drums correctly. Its very tricky rhythmically, so I had to work on that a lot. Harmonies and Melodies came much quicker to me as I am used to listening to them. In the End I had an Poject with around 12 tracks, each with individual volume and some other automations. Maybe 7 working days from up to 8 hours a day are in this small piece, because I did all by myself and I had to learn about the recording software simultaneously. In the End I am quite satisfied and relieved that I actually came to a final version from beginning until the end. I hope that you enjoy the music!
The Song is called, Lake Lauer. Who can guess, from what movie the scenes in the clip are? I will make a cover of your favorite Song if you want! ;)
