let it melt
let it melt
let it melt

I hope it warms up and all the snow melts and i can play violin outside again soon. Was at the library and saw some interesting violin cds with smetena, Im very interested in exploring more of his music. I understand he was czech, their music is always a little gypsy like and highly rythmic

so anyways someone says "what are you listening to" and i say "corelli's concerto grossi" and they say "actually i think its really good"

cheers

Christmas is the best time of the year for people like me, I love giving! It was nice to see my brother, he gave me a chia shrek and a clapper and I love them.

I think I am beginning to understand what needs to be done for vibrato. It all started with a video lesson from Steve Redrobe, there was an exercise where you wold play a scale and on the low note you start the note by rocking your finger/wrist backwards. It didnt really sink in until I played a note out of tune a few weeks later and I discovered I could change the tuning of a note simply by rolling my finger backwards or forwards. Thats how I began to understand what needs to be done to produce vibrato. I have found that moving the arm helps the wrist vibrate more freely but it is really the wrist that controls the width and speed of the vibrato and it is abvious that the wrist must be completely relaxed. The vibrato thing is going well but I have noticed my violin moves when I try to vibrate a note, I think I just need to realy my hand more and I am close to being able to do vibrato.

Had another birthday but no money and bought another book about brahms anyways, Im up to 2 books about brahms now and before long Ill have alot of them and will have absorbed all the facts about his life, yes it is safe to say Im obsessed with brahms and his music!

Other than that, its so cold out, im really poor, not much to eat and all I have is my violin
...no im not russian
:)
