What time is it?

Getting ready for christmas...I got my sponge bob watch, got it for my nephew for christmas in addition to several 2 dollar bills I always save for him. Maybe one day I will have a child of my own, oh yeah I have to find a wife first...

Other than that, there have been a few new developments in my musical life recently. I never got that second job yet that I said I would so I have extra time for violin practice. Mom just left her significant other so Im going to her hous more often, what does that have to do with my violin? (I try to keep the discussion violin-centered) Well first of all she lives in a big house with no close neighbors, that means I can play all night and not have to use my mute, I almost never get to play with out the mute on because of my neighbors and its always great to her the real tone of my violin. Also, I have been playing withour a shoulder rest and the tone seems better than ever.I took my fiddle to a blues jam last week and met a pianist who wants to learn the violin, so im teaching them violin and they are teaching me piano so im learning some chopin on piano and im teaching her scales and eventiall some of the bach i know. Eventually I would love to play some chopin with them, me on violin and them on piano, not formally just for fun.

Listeining to some string quartettes lately and suddenly Im falling in love with the viola, Ive always loved a harmonized melody with 3 voices and love playing the harmonized part, when I sing I always sing the harmony part. Maybe one day Ill be playing viola in a chamber group?

I still want a cello too, Id love to do some violin cello duets and then turn around and play viola in a string quartette, that would be so cool. Ill always practice violin but one day id love to play viola or cello in some type of string ensemble, maybe even a symphony?

I came really close to buying a new chinese fiddle from muses instruments but I decided to spend the money on my brother for christmas.

Bought dad the Rostropovich bach cello dvd
