Dear Violinists,
By means of this little message, I invite you to read an essay I lately wrote on the topic of deliberate thinking and our body movements.
You can access it via Research Gate.
The essay touches upon:
- the philosophical essay 'Time and free will' (1889) by Henri Bergson
- scientific studies on movements by musicians
- the question of how, during the learning process, we deal with the fundamental difference between our deliberate thinking and our bodily intelligence
It makes for about half an hour of - hopefully enjoyable - reading, which I wish to you with all my heart.
If you have any comments on the essay, I will be glad to read them!
(For any Dutch speakers out there, the original text was written in Dutch and can be accessed here.)
