UNBELIEVABLE...
I received a phone call 3 hours ago from some irate mother whose son's violin had broken yesterday and he had a church performance tonight. Now, mind you he is NOT even one of my students.
She wanted to borrow a violin. I told her that I really had nothing to loan out, whereupon she barked "You mean to tell me you have no violin at all?" Sure, I do...several, but none that I would be willing to loan out. I do not loan instruments...She called me a jerk and slammed down the phone.
Now, what's wrong with this picure???
Cool a dog lover! Really, I agree some dogs are better raised up than many humankinds...

What a story! Maybe you need to switch to an unlisted phone number. How did she get yours? She is certainly presumptuous.
Oh my! I feel terrible for the kid, whose mother is behaving so badly. Holiday stress certainly doesn't bring out the best in people . . .
Do you know this woman otherwise? I hope she apologizes!
I wonder what she would have said if you'd have suggested to loan her a violin in exchange for her notebook or her husband's car...
