October 8, 2022, 4:23 PM · This is the 10th year for to hold our Annual Youth Composition Competition. We have made it special with outstanding judges and large prizes.

Our amazing volunteer judges this year are Daniel Felsenfeld, Jennifer Jolley, Soomin Kim, Maestro Lucas Richman, Giovanni Piacentini, Laura Schwendinger and Edward Yuwei Lu. They will provide feedback to all students and select prize winners. Please read about this fabulous group of judges at this link - please remember to scroll down.

There will be 3 age groups Under 15, 15 & 16 and over 16 (Not yet in college). We encourage students to register as soon as possible, then send composition recording and score PDF by the Feb. 14, 2023 deadline. (The age divisions are based on age spreads of previous year entries. If age ranges are significantly different, the age divisions may be adjusted or a division added.)

We have increased prize awards for this 10th year. Read more about competition and apply at this link. Make sure to scroll down to read about the competition.

First prizes are: over 16 - $500, ages 15 & 16 - $200 and under 15, $100. There are more prizes for other placements.
