Sadly, the word on the street is that Signorelli String Instruments is closing. Sal Signorelli is in his mid 90s and seems to be calling it over. His shop is across the street from the Eastman School of Music. For several decades Eastman students on violins, violas, and cellos have walked to his shop to get expert care of their instruments. Sal was such an expert he took in restoration work on exceptional violins from all over the northeast quadrant of the US. We will miss him tremendously.
If you are interested in working with exceptional college students with quality instruments by taking over the space at the Signorelli String Instrument shop, you might try contacting Sal via his web site.Tweet
