Strings for Newtown: Sign Up for the Memorial December 2013 Tribute

April 24, 2013 07:38

Will you help me shine love and light on Newtown from the string world for the one-year memorial this December, 2013?

I live in Newtown Connecticut. After weeks of tears and distress following the 12/14/12 tragedy, I realized that I needed to do something positive while driving past a sign created by a fellow Newtown resident, “There is no foot so tiny that it can’t leave an imprint on this world.”

If you are a performer or an orchestra director and want to participate in the one-year memorial December 2013 from your hometown, you can sign up on the Newtown Peace Park website. J.W. Pepper will be creating a landing page with suggested music for the event. I don't have that link in place yet, but I have provided suggestions for memorial activities, a sign-up form, and there will be a number of free downloadable support materials in place by the summer. You are also welcome to create your own uniquely designed events:
