Looking for good VIOLA music - for solo viola

July 11, 2012 at 11:28 PM

Does anyone know of music that was written specifically FOR the unaccompanied VIOLA?

I have the Bach cello suites TRANSCRIBED for viola, and those are fantastic. But I'm curious if there is much done for the SOLO viola that sounds great on its own.

Thanks

Kreisler's Praeludium and Allegro transcirbed for viola is good or you can play the violin version if you have enough guts :)
