Hey all, I thought id update this Blog -
I attended a few rehearsals of an orchestra this month, as id promised myself that I would join an orchestra this year...OK june is a little late in the year but hey....
Anyway, it seemed ok... It was about a 45 minuite drive from my house, in Settle, Yorkshire, England (Translation - the middle of nowhere). I saw an old buddy from uni, and a group of us went to the pub after the rehearsal had finished. Anyway, I dont want to sound like a complete nutter but on my way home from the first rehearsal, at about 12 o'clock at night, I was driving home on a deserted country road, and saw 5 or 6 bright blue lights directly ahead, like you would see on a plane, but it was fairly close, no further than a mile away. After a few seconds I realised that it couldnt have been a plane, because it was hardly moving. Also it wasnt a helicopter because it was silent. After about 10 seconds I got a bit nearer and the object was a little closer. It was pretty much still, about 1000 metres away, and at tree top hight. The lights were pretty big and bright, but because it was pitch black, I couldnt really make anything else out. I carried on driving and some trees blocked my view, and I couldnt see it again after that. Anyway, if anyone has got any ideas about what it might have been, please write a comment because I cant explain it logically and its doing my head in!

Hey, John, don't worry about going nuts (heck, it probably wouldn't be too bad, anyway!). It could have been an ultralight -- they make very little noise and fly quite low.

When I was a kid, there was a rash of UFO sightings over the local lake -- it turned out to be an ultralight, trying to pull a fast one on us!

Honestly which is rarer, ultralights or UFOs? Uh huh. If you say Bloody Mary three times in front of a darkened mirror they will come and abduct you.

It was stationary in the air though!
