Played the cantata last night.....I think I did alot better during rehearsal earlier in the day, but I wasn't as bad as I thought I would be....haha.....
For some reason the violin didn't sound quite the same, maybe it was all the bodies that were in the room...it just didn't seem to have the volume. I didn't make any major goofups, which is a plus...but during one of the pieces my left ear went "numb" on me and I couldn't tell if I was playing in tune or not..(I have ear issues)....thankfully it was a piece with alot of voices so I could hide in the music until I was able to make out what I was doing....haha....got there JUST before my solo...thank GOD !
I was nervous, but not "Petrified" like happened the last few times I had to play in public. It's always annoying to me that I can play so much better when I'm practicing, than I can when it really counts. Such a pain to work so hard to get something right and then it just doesn't come out as well for the 'big show'.
Anyway, guess I'm ok with how I did.....I look forward to the next opportunity to play....though I don't know why....hahaha......it's soooo stressful ! :-D
