To my fellow violinist.com members,
Here a couple of new videos from a performance given last night in New York City.
This was only the second time I have ever performed the Schumann A minor Violin Sonata after learning all of maybe 2 months ago. I really never looked into the work seriously, in previous years, but something about it was just calling my name. It's unfortunate that even Schumann himself didn't think highly of the work and cast it aside hoping that the second one (D-minor) would turn out better.
I am also getting around to uploading some of this interesting quartet by Erich Wolfgang Korngold we performed on the same program. It was composed for 2 violins, cello and piano (left hand alone). Fascinating work not often seen on today's programs. :D
Anyways, please enjoy!!!
