I just thought I'd share/archive this wonderful video by TwoSet Violin. They are a wonderful and fun comedy duo of violinists (they're actually on tour right now!) I discovered recently from Facebook, and they've done all sorts of fun skits and shows, like Paganini's Jingle Bells" last Christmas. This video is cool because it is a great medley of some fantastic French music over the last 300 years or so, and it has some great selections of both solo and orchestral repertoire arranged for two violins and piano. (I'm partial to the Ravel moments simply because he's my favorite composer, but it's all great!) So yeah, just thought I'd share this. Enjoy the remainder of your day!
11 October UPDATE: Because I don't want to make a ton of posts, I thought I'd add on a video I just found today. In June 2017, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra played a series of concerts called Galaxyphony, to celebrate the musical sound of outer space films, and one of them was for Star Wars (the narrator at the beginning even brought out his vinyl record of the original score on-stage!)! Also to celebrate the new trailer for Episode VIII coming out this week, I thought I'd share this concert with you as well, and you can listen through lots of wonderful Star Wars music. Sorry for making it an update to this post, but I thought it would be nice to have this video archived somewhere other than my random other YouTube videos. So yeah, enjoy - and feel free to come back this Christmas to get in the Star Wars mood again before heading to the theatre to hear Williams' newest score!
