Yesterday a group of friends and I played for a retirement home in Naperville, and it was a lot of fun! On violin, I played the three solo violin passages in the music for the film score I am composing, "The King of the Aliens," and a fourth theme from that film on piano, and then after everyone else finished playing, we read a Mazas piece for string quartet (we adapted it). Either way, it was a ton of fun to play for them, and after one man said we were "dynamite", and he appreciated everything we were doing. So yeah. Just thought I'd share this. :)

Wonderful! I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. It gives you a chance to experiment a bit too...and gives the people that live there a concert to go to!
