Program:
Bowdoin is a prestigious six-week long music festival, and while it's not a part of the Bowdoin college, it takes place on its beautiful campus. More than 250 musicians ages 12 to 42 come from around the world to Bowdoin every year, though the majority of the students are over 21. The director, Lewis Kaplan, is on the violin faculty at the Juilliard School. Faculty include Mr. Kaplan, Sergiu Schwartz, Mikhail Kopelman, Itzhak Raskovsky, Ani Schnarch, Cyrus Forough, and members of the Juilliard, Amernet, Ying and Shanghai quartets.
