Program:
Fred Ohlendorf began a tradition of exciting summer musical and social experiences in 1942 when he brought the Long Beach Honor Orchestra to Arrowbear for a week. The foundations of our programs are band and orchestra sessions unique to the age group. Since the 1950s we have also offered camp experiences in choral music.

Instrumental Music

Arrowbear Music Camp offers Instrumental music programs for band and orchestra for three age groups. Each of these has a focus on large group musical experiences and a large group social experience.

Elementary: For musicians entering 4th-6th grade.
Intermediate: For musicians entering 6th-8th grade.
Advanced: for musicians entering 9th grade and higher.
Our Jazz session focusses on individual improvisation skills with some ensemble playing. For players on any instrument entering grade 10 or higher.
