Program:
In 2003, William Fitzpatrick founded ChamberArtsFest (CAF) in an effort to bring students and young artists together in the remarkable world of chamber music. Having had the opportunity to perform and train with so many icons of the chamber music world during his youth and throughout his career, Mr. Fitzpatrick feels that it is extremely important to pass along this passion to today’s younger artists, helping them to absorb the collective experiences of ensemble music.

From major local concert venues in Orange County to destinations around Europe, CAF has staged concerts across the world. Our artist faculty over the past five years has included: Robert Becker, viola (Principal Viola, Pacific Symphony Orchestra), Myriam Cottin-Rack (Associate Concertmaster, Stockton Symphony, Principal Second, Napa Valley Symphony), William Fitzpatrick, violin (former Director of Chamber Music, American Conservatory in Paris), Peter Marsh, violin/viola (Director of String Chamber Music, USC), Yoko Matsuda, violin (formerly with the Yale and Sequoia String Quartets), and Margaret Parkins, cello (Mojave and Eclipse Trios).

A Senior program for college-age (and older) students runs from July 13th through July 25th, and a Junior program for high school age students runs from July 25th through August 1st.

Openings are available for students on the following instruments: violin, viola, and cello. Both programs in the festival will include daily rehearsals and performance classes with plenty of one-on-one instruction from the faculty, along with several concert performances.

CAF is part of MusiShare, Inc.’s Young Artist Program which provides music students, teachers and enthusiasts with online and onsite environments for learning, sharing and promoting ideas which enhance their musical capabilities. MusiShare is a member of ASCAP, Chamber Music America and NAMM.
