Program:
Located on the campus of Brewster Academy, on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, the Heifetz Institute is a six-week program directed and founded by violinist Daniel Heifetz. Also on the violin faculty are Pamela Frank, on the staff at the Curtis Institute of Music and Peabody Conservatory, and Ani Kavafian, on staff at Yale and Stony Brook University. The rigorous schedule includes five hours of individual practice every day, chamber music, and studio performance classes. The Heifetz Institute is also known for its cross-disciplinary curriculum, which includes public speaking, drama, and movement classes.
