Without trying to sound overly dramatic, you just *need* to get your fiddle over to Karins if you reside in the northern NJ area.Posted via 68.196.15.166 on May 5, 2009 at 8:39 AM (MST) What a great, great personality and has a luthiers touch with violins that can't be beat.

OK, I can now oficially say that Karin Menzels' shop is *MY* violin repair and purchase shop of choice!Posted via 68.196.15.166 on December 17, 2008 at 3:48 AM (MST) She's so patient and did a great, great job adjusting my violin. Run, don't walk, to her storefront in Boonton, NJ.

Just had my first exposure to Ms. Menzel yesterday. She is an astoundingly nice and humorous person!!!Posted via 68.196.15.166 on December 14, 2008 at 5:16 AM (MST) My instrument is in with her as I write this so perhaps after I pick it up on Tuesday and bear witness to her work, I can write further. What a sweetheart she is!!

Karen is one of the finest people you could deal with. Not to mention she rehairs a bow better than anyone that has ever touched mine.Posted via 68.38.147.153 on April 6, 2007 at 5:56 AM (MST) Friendly no rush service at it's best.
From Michael Avagliano
Karin is a good friend of mine, and the daughter of Richard Menzel, who ran NJ's most respected violin shop for 30 years. She worked with her father for many of those years, and has her own shop now. She's a violinist as well and has a great reputation with her customers. Posted via 67.100.11.178 on September 30, 2004 at 8:53 AM (MST)
