I'm sure many string players breathed a sigh of relief when Howard moved back to the Washington, D.C. area. For years he was the only luthier I completely trusted with the care of my instruments and bows. In the realm of repairs and sound adjustments he is unbeatable--he truly has a sixth sense for the concept of tone and tone production. A very talented and well-informed maker, he is currently focusing his efforts on new and beautifully conceived instruments. I look forward to visiting his new shop in Maryland, and am anxious to see his new work. Posted via 205.188.116.12 on November 18, 2004 at 3:58 PM (MST)
