Hi all,

A violin is a fiddle that went to university - but the fiddle earns more money.

This is my fifth thread.

I had started a thread about "FLASHY violinsts" and in it, the first post i entered was of an interview with Irish violinist, Máiréad Nesbitt.

She starts her interview saying,
"I first picked up a violin when i was 6 - i was a bit of a late starter, actually."

That one comment has started violinists, here, talking.

So, i've decided to create a new thread on THAT topic alone.

In the "FLASHY violinists" thread, i'd entered a response to a comment by Will Willy, and i showed Natalie MacMaster's four children performing and playing fiddle (quite well), and i'd even commented that nobody has commented on Natalie's YOUNG children performing playing violin/fiddle.

She starts the performance by introducing her 6-year-old son.
The boy is already 6 in the video. He didn't just pick it up at 6. He was playing before he was 6.

I am eager to read your comments.
