Film from Laurie's Blog about Film Scoring

Edited: October 8, 2017, 5:05 PM · This is a musical written, scored, recorded, filmed, edited, special-effected and produced in 64 hours by a team of high school students, which included the director, my son Brian, 17. (I'm so proud!) I promise that this will make you smile if you watch it. Also, you get points if you can hear my violin in there (I posted this blog about their process of creating songs for a musical in such a short time.) Their prompt was "Oregon Trail: the video game, the film, the musical." Enjoy!

P.S. The kids were all students at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. This was for their 64-Hour Film Festival, and it won "Best Film" and "Audience Favorite." The required elements were: 1. A light saber 2. the line "I don't know if you know this, but the plural of attorney general is attorneys general" 3. a character named Joshy Groban 4. a sound clip of "Obama out" 5. A dolly shot
