Can anybody give me some information on this violin maker? I'm currently trying out a violin that has his label. How can I determine if it is authentic? It is made in 1886 and bears this label:CHIPOT-VUILLAUME Gendre de J.-B.Vuillaume A PARIS. It seems to have original varnish on it which is a golden amber color. The violin shop is asking $7,500 for it? Is this too much?
