Save the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna

News: In the wake of the savings of the ORF management is planned, the Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO) Vienna is not only separation, but completely dissolved!

Dear Violinist.com friends,

 

being Austrian, I am forwarding this text to you of a cellist friend who plays in the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna. There is a real threat that this top Orchestra will be dissolved and now there is an online petition to try and save it.

Just recently it was reported that Cornelius Meister the young GMD of the Heidelberg Philharmonic and Opera House has signed a contract to become the successor of Bertrand de Bailly in Vienna, while maintaining his position in Heidelberg! So what's really going to go on?
