I wrote a new string quartet titled "In Autumn." You can see/hear the scrolling score at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eb-dpL0x6jQ
It's somewhat romantic, bluesy, jazzy, Latin. Maybe the pizz is too fast at measure 148?
The streichquartette in which I play enjoys the challenge of Mr. B's Op 18 and other standard repertoire and sometimes indulges my harmonic essays as well. We find great satisfaction in completing a movement without someone wildly waving his/her bow and shouting something like "We're not together! Can we go back to letter H?" But we don't subject the public to our renditions, so what you'll hear is the computer's interpretation* because, well, let me explain in triple metre (with some catalexis and inversion):
I wrote a quartet.
It's my best stücke yet.
But you won't hear it played by my combo.
Because, if you must know,
'tho we play affettuoso,
the Mac plays in tune and a tempo.
Of course, I prefer and support live music, but the computer obliges for demonstration purposes.
