October 4, 2016 at 12:15 AM · What is the reason for this poll? I must admit I can't think of a useful one. However, if it is to elicit information about multi-instrumentalists (and nearly of the orchestral musicians I know are such, so it isn't news), then I tell of a musician in my home town who as far as anyone knows is not an actual member of any of the many orchestras we have in Bristol, but turns up at any concert going as a deputy with his violin, viola, cello or bass, as required. Fortunately, he is a strong player on all four instruments and so is welcome. Rumour has it that he has an agenda to play all five string parts in all the 9 Beethoven symphonies over the years. He denies that he is one of identical twins, triplets or quads.

October 4, 2016 at 07:45 PM · My memories of youth are not fading and the adult world bit is just so much B/S. Sorry Adrian, but let's get real and not descend into the fantasy world!
October 4, 2016 at 09:33 PM · Peter, I find those two sentences a bit contradictory.
