September 3, 2016 at 11:05 AM · I have the score of the Heifetz arrangement, which is in F. But all the recordings that I've heard are in F sharp. Is the F sharp major one just transposed, or is it a totally different arrangement?

September 5, 2016 at 01:46 PM · Transcriptions for violin are often published in more than one key; e.g. Elgar's Salut d'Amour, or or Rachmaninov's Vocalise.

September 5, 2016 at 04:03 PM · The Heifetz score published by Carl Fischer is F# major. He recorded it in that key as well. I've heard it also play in F major. F# has a special sonority. This piece gets me practicing my F# major scales! :)
