HI EVERYONE

I NEED SOME SUGGESTIONS FROM YOU EXPERT GUYS.

I HAVE A VIOLIN SEEMS VERY OLD. .. ITS LABEL SAYS..

"Joannes Jais me fecit

Bulfani in Tyroli 1775"

around that lable there is a design around those letters.,

so is this really made in 1775?? is this german violin or italian?? it seems very old. and many cracks professionally repaired.

What it worths?? and is this original ?? If you need the label pic I can send you.

thanks in advance.

The lable doesn't really mean much. You'd have to get it examined by an expert. However, if you post some pictures of the entire instrument (not just the lable) someone here might be able to give you a clue as to whether or not your violin is at all valuable.

HI

Thanks to get involved to help me. I m trying to show you guys its pics.  but not yet successful. The violin I have it says BULFANI not BULSANI.  year shows 1775.   last three digits handwritten. and it has back birdeye maple one piece back.

So is it making any diference??

It probably does... since the old way of writing an "s" looks like an "f" :

Hope this link helps.

Either way it sounds bad to the uninitiated ... doesn't it?
