I am a professional Trumpet player, who escaped from Music Education in the early 1970's. Of course I had to take Class Violin and Class Low Strings. I took a semester of Applied 'Cello from William Skidmore to satisfy this requirement. Recently, I started attending chamber music recitals of mostly Baltimore Symphony string players, which has renewed my earlier interest in the Violin family. I started listening to many different Violinists and one day realised that I had "fallen in love" with the Violin and its music. I tell people that I have given up the
Trumpet for a "Musical Instrument." Those who know understand the underlying humor of this statement.

Thank you,
John
