Shana Johnson

I have played violin since the age of 3. I started out playing Suzuki. I played in several different orchestras throughout my childhood. I studied under Vasile Beluska (at BGSU) for 4 years while in high school. I then, for some unfortunate reason, stopped playing the violin when I left for college. I have recently returned to playing the violin after a 15 year hiatus. I am currently performing with the University of Cincinnati Symphonic Orchestra, and am seated in the first violin section. I will be returning to lessons soon, with James Braid.

I have not been able to put my violin down after picking it back up. I have finally returned "home". Although I am not playing at the level I used to (yet), and I have very high standards, I am looking forward to my return to perfoming.
