Hello fellow violinists! My name is Rebecca and I've been playing the violin for 18 years. I have loved the violin since I was incredibly young, and love to play music to bring joy to others. I am a student currently completing my M.A. degree, and I have completed my B.M. degree.
I love to play in orchestras and consider myself part of the "freeway philharmonic". I mostly play in community to semi-pro orchestras, but am starting to audition for lower tiered professional orchestras. I also love to learn solo rep and give recitals. Chamber music is fun too, but something I haven't done nearly enough of. I think my favorite, though, is teaching, because I love being a part of someone's growth as a person and musician. I love to invest in people and help them be the best they can be.
I also play piano and sing proficiently. I try to be a well-rounded musician and a well-rounded person. I like to learn in general, so I like to pick up other hobbies or learn about a specific topic.
I am excited to be a part of violinist.com, because I have found it to be not only useful but a wonderful community of people who have a deeply shared interest. I look forward to being a part of this community and meeting you!
